Yes I have made up my own job title. But how else do you describe a job that helps generate awesome ideas for adventurous and ambitious people. And yes it is as fun as it sounds!
I have worked as a Copywriter in Ad Land for 15 years and then at ?WhatIf! the innovation company, so I’ve collected an armoury of creative weaponry over the years.
I’ve written ads for everyone from Arnott’s to The Royal Flying Doctors. Created everything from new beer for Fosters to new consumer sales ideas for Country Road. I’ve been everything from a keynote speaker at the Australian Direct Marketing Summit to Wonder Woman to win a pitch. Now I am The Idea Generator.
My diverse skill set enables me to offer a wide range of creative services. I still write the occasional ad but I also get pulled in as a creative brain for workshops and new product development sessions. I am used as a sounding board for CEO’s who have problems with creativity in their departments, or creative people who need to bounce their ideas off someone. I have also helped people who have wanted to rebrand themselves personally, or who needed a hand bringing an idea to life. That’s why I needed to create my own job title.
